Graduation

I graduated...from xanga. Well, I don't know if you can actually graduate from one blog to another, but it was time to leave the trials and tribulations of teenage Katie behind. I'm still keeping it around, though, some of those entries are gems. Let's recap the last few months:

In May I graduated. Neat.

The summer was a pit of fail, on the job front that is. I moved to Chicago in August, well I should say my parents forced me out, to attend a program I am only half interested in. I am still gainfully unemployed. And I've read about 20 odd books. I would say, though, compared to others my life's peachy with a side of keen.

Honestly, it hasn't been bad. Adam and I...talked/argued/yelled out our problems and we're back together. Happily. I moved out of my parent's house, and nothing on this great green earth could make me live in it again. Learned to look at the big picture, meaning the direction my career and my life are going in. Which, given, would have been wise 2-3 years ago but...we can't have everything. I was able to visit with some friends who are leaving me for indefinite periods of time. It's been good.

Look, this blog will be pretty girly. I don't travel. You know, being broke and all tends to limit your options. And I'm a pretty awful writer. But this is for me and quite possibly Laurie, who will probably be my only reader. Lord knows if I'll keep up with this.
Cheers
Katie
